Portland Trail Blazers Roster Report 2009-10-30

Portland Trail Blazers Roster Report 2009-10-30
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Steve Blake, Shooting guard Brandon Roy, Small forward Martell Webster, Power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, Center Greg Oden. Bench -- Forward Travis Outlaw, Guard Rudy Fernandez, Guard Andre Miller, Center Joel Przybilla, Forward Juwan Howard.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Martell Webster earned a standing ovation after the second of spectacular back-to-back plays in the first half. He went baseline for a dunk, then blocked Carmelo Anthony's dunk attempt at the other end.

--A week after signing a five-year contract extension worth $64 million, F LaMarcus Aldridge has had sub-par back-to-back games, averaging 10 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 9-for-25 from the field.

--In one four-minute stretch in the fourth quarter, G Rudy Fernandez scored 14 of Portland's 16 points.

--C Greg Oden drew his first foul 16 seconds into the game. Oden and Portland's other center, Joel Przybilla, had a combined 10 fouls in just 34 minutes on the court.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Nicolas Batum will undergo surgery Friday in Los Angeles to repair a torn right labrum. The second-year small forward hurt the shoulder while playing for France in the European Championships last summer, and re-aggravated it several times in training camp and the preseason. He'll be lost at least until the All-Star break.

--F Jeff Pendergraph underwent hip surgery in September. The rookie probably won't be available until around Christmas.

--G Patty Mills underwent surgery to repair a broken leg in July. His return won't happen for at least another two months.
