Portland Trail Blazers Roster Report 2009-03-28
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Steve Blake, Shooting guard Brandon Roy, Small forward Nicolas Batum, Power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, Center Joel Przybilla. Bench -- Center Greg Oden, Forward Travis Outlaw, Guard Rudy Fernandez, Guard Sergio Rodriguez.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Rudy Fernandez had his second big offensive game in a row. The Spanish rookie was in a zone, scoring 23 points while making 8-for-10 from the field and 5-for-6 on three-pointers in only 21 minutes. On Monday against Philadelphia, he scored 19 points.

--G Brandon Roy, who had scored only 12 points on 5-for-18 shooting against the Sixers, was 11-for-19 against the Suns while collecting 26 points, nine rebounds and six assists in 34 minutes.

--C Joel Przybilla had only two points and one rebound in 28 minutes, but he battled Shaquille O'Neal in the trenches. The last time the two squared off in Portland, Shaq dumped a ball in Przybilla's face after a collision. On Thursday night, there was a similar scene after Shaq was called for an offensive foul, tossing the ball in Przybilla's face as he flopped. Later, the two had matching technicals after a verbal exchange.

--G Steve Blake and G Sergio Rodriguez outplayed the Suns' Steve Nash at the point, combining for 16 points and 11 assists to 15 and five for Nash. Blake scored 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Rodriguez was extremely effective in his 14 minutes, dishing out a game-high eight assists.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Martell Webster (foot) hopes to return before the playoffs.

--F-C Raef LaFrentz (shoulder surgery) is rehabbing at his home in Des Moines, Iowa.
