Portland Trail Blazers Roster Report 2009-01-06
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Steve Blake, Shooting guard Rudy Fernandez, Small forward Nicolas Batum, Power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, Center Greg Oden. Bench -- Guard Sergio Rodriguez, Guard Jerryd Bayless, Center Joel Przybilla, Forward Travis Outlaw, Forward Channing Frye.

--G Steve Blake and G Rudy Fernandez failed to give the Blazers much from the perimeter against the Lakers. Blake was 5-of-14 and Fernandez 5-of-15 from the field. They were a combined five of 16 from three-point range.

--F Nicolas Batum's 17-point total was a career high for the 20-year-old rookie from France. Batum, who went 6-for-6 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free throw line, came into the game averaging just 4.4 points per game. Batum, who has started 30 games, had reached double-figures just once in his previous 16 games.

--G Brandon Roy missed his third straight game with a sore right hamstring. He is expected to miss at least two more games. Roy had an MRI on Saturday on his surgically repaired left knee, but results were negative. The Blazers are 1-2 during his most recent absence.

--G Martell Webster, in his third season, continues on the recovery trail from an injury to his left foot. Webster has played only five minutes (in one game) this season, and hasn't scored. The latest plan, according to coach Nate McMillan, is for Webster to return around the time of the NBA All-Star Game, or slightly after the Feb. 15 contest.

--C Joel Przybilla, playing despite a fractured left wrist, did not take a shot from the field (he's .752 for the season) against the Lakers. He had two points, three rebounds and three fouls in nine minutes.
