--G Jerryd Bayless had totaled just 53 points in 18 previous appearances, with a career high of eight.
--Bayless was nicknamed "The Assassin" while at Arizona, and he went at the Nets like one. "I stay in attack mode all the time," he said. "I tried to be patient early and see what they were giving me. I got going a little bit."
--The New Jersey game was the 10th in a row for Portland in which the Blazers have trailed by 10 points or more.
--The Blazers are 3-0 in their last three trips to New Jersey.
--Nets G Vince Carter didn't play well in his last game against the Blazers. It was a year ago, and he had just 10 points on 2-for-9 shooting. He wasn't a lot better Thursday, getting 13 points on 4-for-14 shooting.
