
--Rudy Fernandez had his most sensational game of the season. The rookie guard from Spain scored a team-high 25 points, including a turnaround 20-foot jumper with one second on the shot clock, 45 seconds on the game clock and Portland ahead 96-92.
"I'm glad I was able to come through," said Fernandez, who made 7-of-11 shots from the field and 8-of-8 from the foul line. "But the most important thing is we have played very well as a team." --Fifteen days after spraining an ankle in the opener against the L.A. Lakers, Greg Oden came off the bench to play 16 minutes for Portland. The rookie center had three points, two rebounds and two blocked shots.
"We won, and I got to play a full game, which is good for me," Oden said. "I feel good."
