The biggest game of the season is next on the schedule for the Trail Blazers.
Utah visits the Rose Garden in a matchup that will play a role in determining the playoff race in the Northwest Division. The Blazers (46-27) and Jazz (45-27) trail Denver (48-26) in the battle for the division title.
Portland and Utah have played three times -- twice in Salt Lake City -- with each team winning on its home court.
"They beat us twice there," Portland guard Brandon Roy said. "We want to at least split the season series. It's a big game for us. The race is extremely tight, and we have our next four games on the road. We want to try to protect the home court."
LaMarcus Aldridge said the Blazers will focus on limiting Utah's inside game, and Carlos Boozer specifically.
"We have to be aggressive, stop them from getting points in the paint," Aldridge said. "That will be a big key for us. They're great in there. And we'll try to run on them some and get some easy baskets."
BLAZERS 86, GRIZZLIES 66: Portland seized control late in the second quarter and breezed to the victory Saturday while handing Memphis its 18th loss in the last 21 games.
The Blazers' magic number is four to make the playoffs for the first time since 2003.
The Grizzlies' 66 points were a season low and a Portland opponent season low, and until the end it appeared as if they might not reach the all-time record low of 63 points Denver scored against the Blazers in 1997.
"We wanted to lean on (the Grizzlies) all night long and make them work, since they played last night," Portland coach Nate McMillan said. "Just be solid and not give them anything deep; make them score over the top. We did that. We didn't shoot the ball well, but the defense was good."
