LaMAR GOT TXT GAME
LaMarcus Aldridge has found a new way to communicate with fans: through text messaging.

Aldridge has joined a network in which fans can send him text messages, and the Trail Blazers star says he will answer them. Each and every one.

"It's a way to be able to keep in touch with my fans all the time," Aldridge said. "People these days text all the time, so I figured it's an easy way to have that connection."

Aldridge has joined Mogo Text, who also channels messages to Houston's Shane Battier, the Lakers' Jordan Farmar, the Clippers' Eric Gordon and Sacramento's Spencer Hawes.

To sign up, fans need to go to mogo.text.com and follow the directions. Aldridge said the company will send him five text messages every hour to answer, and he said he intends on answering every message.

"Even when I'm just sitting around the house, I always just text," Aldridge said. "I think it will be fun."

Aldridge joins a growing number of NBA players who are using communication technology to connect with fans. Phoenix's Shaquille O'Neal and Milwaukee's Charlie Villanueva are among two who use Twitter.
