The AP reports: Emeka Okafor scored 21 points and Jason Richardson added 20 for the Bobcats in a 93-85 victory over the Blazers on Saturday night. The Bobcats broke open the back-and-forth game in the final 2 minutes, and won despite being outrebounded 57-32 by the Blazers. “We got out rebounded and we still won so that shows a lot for our team,� said Raymond Felton, who added 18 points. Travis Outlaw tied a season-high with 26 points to lead Portland, and LaMarcus Aldridge had 21 points and 13 rebounds for his team-leading 15th double-double of the season.

The AP reports: Stephen Jackson scored 14 of his 24 points in the third quarter and the Golden State Warriors bolstered their playoff position against the short-handed Portland Trail Blazers in a 111-95 victory Thursday night. The Warriors caught a lucky break when Portland All-Star guard Brandon Roy stayed home to nurse a sore groin… Golden State broke open a close game with a dominant third quarter, where its aggressiveness on offense paid off with 20 free throw attempts in the quarter… InsideHoops.com Stat Notes: For Golden State, Jackson shot just 8-of-20 for his 24. For Portland, Steve Blake shot 8-of-12 for 22 points and 6 assists. Jarrett Jack had 19, LaMarcus Aldridge 17 with just 5 rebounds but 6 assists, and Martell Webster needed 14 shots for his 14 points.

Brandon Roy did not travel with the team to Golden State today after sustaining a right groin strain in Tuesday’s game vs. the Washington Wizards. Roy will miss Portland’s next four games and then be re-evaluated. LaMarcus Aldridge (right ankle sprain) did travel with the team to Golden State and is listed as a game time decision for tomorrow’s game vs. the Warriors.

The AP reports: Martell Webster had 23 points, Travis Outlaw added 20 and the Portland Trail Blazers overcame the loss of top scorer Brandon Roy to beat the Washington Wizards 102-82 on Tuesday night. Jarrett Jack added 17 points and Joel Przybilla had 17 rebounds for the Blazers, who shot 49.4 percent despite Roy leaving with a strained right groin on the last play of the first quarter. Portland was already without LaMarcus Aldridge, the team’s second-leading scorer who sprained an ankle Monday against Seattle. Caron Butler had 19 to lead Washington, which was missing Gilbert Arenas after he had his return from knee surgery pushed back a week… Antonio Daniels had 14 points and eight assists for the Wizards, who had won six of their last seven. Leading scorer Antawn Jamison struggled, with nine points and eight rebounds on just 3-of-13 shooting.

The AP reports: Kevin Durant scored 23 points and the SuperSonics snapped their 11-game losing streak with a 97-84 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night… Damien Wilkins added 20 points off the bench, and Jeff Green continued his improved play late in his rookie season with 16 points. Martell Webster led Portland with 22 points, but 15 came in the first quarter when the Seattle native hit four 3-pointers. Another Seattle native, All-Star Brandon Roy, struggled all night, looking fatigued and leaving a number of shots short. Roy made just five of 17 attempts and finished with 11 points… The Sonics took control in the third quarter, which coincided with Portland’s LaMarcus Aldridge leaving with a mild right ankle sprain.

The Portland Trail Blazers assigned rookie forward Josh McRoberts to the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League, it was announced Monday by Trail Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard.
“Sending Josh back to Idaho will give him the best chance to develop as the season winds down,� said Pritchard. “Getting the opportunity to play extended minutes is an important step in his rookie season, and we saw good results from his last trip there.�
The D-League assignment marks the second of the season for McRoberts, who posted averages of 7.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 26.5 minutes in eight games with the Stampede from Jan. 9-Feb. 3.
McRoberts, 21, is averaging 2.0 points, 0.8 rebounds and 4.4 minutes in five games with the Trail Blazers this season after being selected by Portland with the 37th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.
This is the first season the Trail Blazers are affiliated with the Boise-based Stampede.
